It was the third week of the month. Yet, the week zoomed off at N285/litre, the same as last week Friday’s closing rate. With no expectation from anyone to see such minor changes on the first business day, Monday; that’s unusual.
But with a sharp decrease on Tuesday which remained unchanged through Friday, no doubt, it stabilized the market a little.
Though the week covers June 14 2021 to June 18, 2021. So far, the highest mark got as high as N285/litre. So, as expected, the table below shows the diesel price update or breakdown for the entire week.
As always, the OPEC activities played key roles in all. The US Dollar to Naira battle in the exchange rate market as expected shattered spectators’ hopes.
Affirmatively, we will not relent in comparing the current weekly prices with the immediate past.
